 OVERVIEW
This DIS course is designed to allow students to self-direct a photographic project either outside the scope of the courses normally offered or to substitute a course from the photography sequence. The student proposes a photographic project to be completed in the form of a portfolio. This proposal must be submitted to the instructor by July 1. The proposal is mandatory and requires instructor approval. Course evaluation will be based on the successful completion of proposed project.

Please note: The proposal must be typed-written and contain three visual references. Submit proposal via email. Include the course(s) being substituted by this DIS course. Include “DIS Proposal by Your Name Here” in the subject area.

PORTFOLIO (Summer Session B)
The portfolio will consist of a minimum of 3 images per credit hour. Images must be original and produced solely for this course. Students are required to provide instructor with digital files of the final portfolio, formally labeled, for instructor’s archive.

CLASS ATTENDANCE
Students are required to meet with me or correspond by email at least 2 times prior to final submission of project.
